Bringing a puppy home

Updated: Jul 5, 2022

It's always exciting to bring a puppy home, isn't it? That mixed feeling of happiness

and concern, and amongst it all is your puppy, just being playful and curious,

discovering the world in its new home. Unless you're an experienced dog owner, you

might feel a bit out of place, lost, not knowing what to do with the typical issues your

puppy will eventually create.

Ideally, at this point you will already have called a professional dog trainer to help

you out, however, that’s not always the case. Normally people wait too long,

sometimes several years, until they finally surrender and end up searching for

guidance. The longer it takes, the harder it will be to achieve good results, due to the

fact that the dog may already have

developed strong bad habits over all this time.

Being guided only by instincts and impulses, they can turn themselves into dominant,

anxious, nervous, traumatised, reactive dogs, or sometimes all of the above.

After 10 years training puppies, I have noticed that they definitely learn faster than older dogs. They’re more willing to work, and they are less resistant and less stubborn. You can literally shape their individuality as much as you desire, I mean, obviously depending firstly on their nature, like breed and size, but this particular topic can go really deep, so we can discuss it another time.

The puppy world is super interesting and it covers so many different aspects, such as health, growing, socialisation, behaviour, etc. They all lead in one direction, which is dog training. It's definitely my favourite sort of training, very pleasant and rewarding. Once they learn, it stays with them forever, and there’s always some room for improvement.

So, if you just got a puppy, contact us and enjoy this life experience, we will provide you with all the guidance you need. Your dog won’t have the chance to become naughty, you will be always one step ahead and ready to deal with any challenges. It’s about having fun with your best friend and your family.
